According to the August numbers on my spreadsheet:
Total population of England is about 56,223,000 (about 82% of total UK population).
People in England who've had both vaccine shots = 34,511,819 (61.38% of population)
Unvaccinated people in England = 17,177,893 (30.55%)
Unvaccinated Delta cases in England = 183,133 (1.07% of total unvaccinated)
Fully vaccinated Delta cases in England = 73,372
(0.21% of fully vaccinated population)
1.07% divided by 0.21% = 5.14 times as many infections in unvaccinated for the population.
Unvaccinated Delta deaths in England = 390 (0.21% of unvaccinated cases)
Fully vaccinated Delta deaths in England = 690 (0.93% of fully vaccinated cases)
0.93% divided by 0.21% = 4.43
So, if a fully vaccinated person does catch Delta, they are 4.43 times as likely to die from it than an unvaccinated person.
