If the human race as a whole were a machine, we would consider it to be faulty.

Modern humans have existed for about 300,000 years. We’ve had all that time to find a way to live peacefully on this planet, and we keep screwing it up. As a whole species, we are defective.

  • We keep attacking each other.
  • We’ve invented transport that gets us around quicker but harms the only planet we’ve got.
  • We’ve invented small rectangles that people can’t stop staring at, even when their lives depend on it.
  • We house people in dangerous high-rise buildings that burn out of control.
  • Like a virus, we can’t stop increasing in number.

Why do we exist?

We’re only here because of two instincts:

  • Reproduction.
  • Survival.
