At one point, I was ready to quit the whole freelancing thing altogether. But then I was thinking, what other job can I do? I struggle in most work situations where there are other people. I find most other people's behaviour confusing and annoying, and therefore counter-productive to a constructive working day.

But I also looked into doing some online courses to broaden my skills. There is a site called alison.com where you can do free online courses in almost anything, so I found some graphic design courses. I've done one and plan to do the others at some point.

But then AI is encroaching on the world of image generation. So, it won't be long before most graphic design work is done automatically by software. But then the same is true about writing. We are on the edge of a new age with all that AI stuff.

But many other jobs are being automated too. Ocado and Amazon use robots for most of their warehouse work. Self-driving vehicles will be common before long. Supermarkets won't have humans on checkouts before long.
