Good points. For me, it's more about the fact that the phone startles me while I'm in the middle of something, or if I'm talking to someone else and their phone rings, it feels like such a rude intrusion. I appreciate that many phone calls aren't intended to be rude or aggressive, so I'm just speaking from the perspective of how the suddeness of it affects me.

It's probably also to do with the fact that I don't have many friends, so I hardly get any nice phonecalls anyway. I mostly get scam calls.
