Here's what I've been doing lately to improve my titles:

I write a bunch of alternative titles, as many as I can think of at the time. Usually about 5 to 10 titles. I try to make each one about 12 words long. I then put each one in turn into the headline analyzer at https://headlines.coschedule.com/headlines and make a note of the score of each. I then take the highest scoring title and see if I can improve it further by coming up with a few more alternatives. The aim is to try to get one with a score over 80, but if it's over 70 that's okay.

I then do the same for my subtitle and the first line of my intro.
