I appreciate that you welcomed me into Illumination and published my stories. My article is not an attack on you personally or meant to question your integrity or anything like that. I know your intentions are honorable.

My study was merely an investigation into whether a large publication, with no set niche, that publishes everything from everyone, is a good approach. I've had comments from other members saying they have wondered this too.

170 stories in one day is too many in one publication. Stories will disappear in the avalanche of new content.

I agree that the study was not perfect. I did not have access to reading time, as that data is not public. If you have data showing that stories published in Illumination do better than similar stories that are self-published, I would like to see it.

For the stories that have gone viral, would they have still gone viral if they had been self-published or published in a smaller pubication? We don't know.

Some Illumination editors do change content without asking. I've seen other people complain about that too. You might want to sort that out.
