I agree. Raising children is a serious job. It's bizarre how school tries to teach children about all these academic things, but not much about real-life skills. I don't remember being taught how to fix a car, how to make friends and deal with conflicts, how to manage money, or how to raise children. We have to pass a test before we can drive a car, so why not pass a test to become a parent? Any teenagers who get pregnant should instantly get sent on a free crash course in parenting. If they've not passed the course by the time they give birth, the baby gets taken away and is adopted by somebody who has passed the course.
