I do understand the teachings. In fact, I spent several years fully drinking the Eckhart Tolle Koolaid.

I agree that often our minds do cause a lot of problems. But we don't control our minds anyway. The content of our thinking is just as much out of our control as anything external to us.

There also isn't really a separate you or me to decide whether the problems are in our minds or not. That itself is an illusion.

Even the thought "I am not my thoughts" is just another thought that is beyond our control.
