I have a different approach. I engage with my haters and use it as jumping-off points for follow-up articles. A lot of people don't seem to realise that engaging with responses can be great opportinitues to come up with new content. If I write a long response to someone's response, I save that in a file like it's the first draft of a new article.

Also, sometimes, if someone comes up with a counter argument I think is valid, I edit my original article and add it as a quote.
