I sold things on eBay for a while, but in a different way. I was buying things on Amazon and selling them directly to my eBay customers without having to touch the products myself. I was using software called Profit Scraper. It allows you to scrape listings from Amazon and list them on eBay. Then, when you make a sale on eBay, it automatically buys from Amazon and ships it directly to the eBay customer.
I did it for a while, and made loads of sales, but didn't keep track of my incomings and outgoings properly. One day, I looked at my numbers, and realised I was about £500 down on the deal, once taking eBay fees and the monthly cost of Profit Scraper into consideration.
It was kind of fun, and I would have kept doing it if it was profitable. The down side was having to always be available to answer customer messages, though.
