Isn't it similar to how SARS-Cov-2 is the virus that causes the desease COVID-19?

So, technically, when people talk about testing positive for COVID-19, they actually mean they tested positive for SARS-Cov-2. But if somebody is asymptomatic, they have SARS-Cov-2 but not COVID-19. Is that correct?
