It's difficult to know for sure which stories are going to take off. But getting some negative comments seems to come with the territory. In fact, I would be surprised if there were any viral stories that didn't get any negative comments.

Look at Jessica Wildfire. She's got 97k followers. Her latest story, published only yesterday, already has 7.3k claps from 627 people and 85 comments. She's very opinionated and never holds back from saying what she thinks. I expect a significant proportion of her comments are people disagreeing with her.
