It's kind of worrying. The world's richest person is willing to pay nearly 16% of his wealth to compeltely buy an entire social media platform. Why? What are his motivations? "Free speech" is a lie. If he has full control, he can use it for his own ends. Expect it to be full of adverts for his Tesla cars, and to suppress any tweets that criticise him or his products.

Nobody needs to be as rich as Elon is. Nobody. The only reason anybody ever needs that much money is to be able to control others.
