It's not racist at all. It would only be racist if you regarded people as inferior due to their race, or were mistreating them because of their race. Being interested in people's genetics and appearances is not racist.

The way you write about all this seems so autistic, and I mean that in a positive way. It highlights the strength that autistic people have, in their fascination with details and insistence on finding out the facts.

It reminds me of my fascination with boundaries. I like to know where places are in relation to boundaries, like what county or district a town is in. Like when you get suburbs on the outskirts of a city, sometimes they are within the city boundary and sometimes they are outside it. Most people don't care, but I do.
