It's not the highest-paid work, but it's better than the average that I got from my Medium articles even at my peak.

It depends on what type of writing you are doing. The types of articles I am writing for $20 for this client are just short blog posts for SEO purposes. They are not intended to be award-winning journalism or anything like that. They don't take long to write. I've already written two today and plan to write another two this afternoon. If were to spend that same time writing Medium articles, I would earn far less on average.

For this type of writing I'm doing, it's all about streamlining the process. I've been developing a way of working that makes the whole process as smooth as possible. Also, Grammarly Premium helps a lot, too. I know you don't like it, but I wouldn't do this type of writing without it (some clients even specify it). Although I ignore half its suggestions, it's well worth it for the ones I do accept, and it significantly speeds up the editing process. Then there is the built-in plagiarism checker, which is vital for what I'm doing.

But yes, this work might not be my super long-term plan. I'm in a better position than I was, so at least that's a step in the right direction. Hopefully, over time, I can increase my rate and/or look for other work.
