I've previously written about some of the things you mention:

In a sense, "I am not my thoughts" is a true statement, since we cannot control our thoughts. But we can't control anything anyway, not even our conscious awareness, so if we are to say we are not our thoughts, it's just as logical to say we don't exist at all.

But in the real practical world, where we interact with others, who we are as people is very much about our behaviour, which is tied to our thoughts. The reason people will like or dislike you will be because your opinions and behaviours and the way you tend to think about things. Whether or not you consider those thoughts to be you is kind of irrelevant in the real world. The thoughts still exist. And the thought "I am not my thoughts" is still a thought. So, if we are not our thoughts, we are not even the one thinking "I am not my thoughts". So, even if it is true, it's the thoughts that said it, not you.

We can go round and round in circles with this 😆
