Los Angeles has a big homelessness problem. It's sickening, considering how many rich people live there. So much money, and they aren't even able to make sure everybody has the basics.
Paris has a terrible homelessness problem too. And when the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris burned, suddenly there were all these rich people donating to rebuild it. Like having a big building to pray in ever solved any real problems. If they are going to rebuild it, they should turn it into apartments for homesless people.
Near where I live, there is an old disused office building that has been empty for many years. All this time, it could have been turned into apartments. It was only after a teenage boy fell off it and died last year that finally things are happening to do something with it.
