My Town Smells of Cheese

Or more specifically, cheesy poo

It stinks around here at the moment. But that’s what happens when you live in a small town surrounded by fields and farms.

The farmers are muck spreading, which always makes it smell like this. You just can’t get away from it.

Yesterday evening, I opened my windows to freshen up my room. I knew I’d been in there a long time, and I’d farted a few times. So I opened my window and left the room for about ten minutes.

But when I returned, my room smelled ten times worse! The cheesy poo smell from outside had come in.

Today I drove out to a village about seven miles away to go for a walk. That smelled of cheesy poo as well. I couldn’t get away from it.

Years ago, I remember there was a day when my town smelled of chocolate. I’m not sure what caused that. Maybe a delivery lorry had leaked.
