So far, I've earned just $0.02, but I've only published 4 articles and I've only got 1 subscriber. To be fair, I earned less than a dollar in my first month on Medium.

I was surprised to discover that there are no comments on Vocal. That seems like a stupid decision. Interaction is what brings life to a website. I feel uncomfortable reading something knowing that I can't comment if I have an opinion on what they wrote.

It's like when YouTube videos disable comments. ITV does this on all their videos, and it annoys the hell out of me, especially as they often post clips of the types of things people would want to debate. My view is, if you're going to release something out into the public, you have to be able to accept other people giving you their views on it. We don't all have to agree, but we can be civil in our disagreements.
