That's a bad choice of title for a Medium article, considering the rules clearly state:

"We do not allow content that constitutes or promotes violence, harassment, or hatred against people based on characteristics like race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, disability, disease, age, sexual orientation, gender, or gender identity."

The writer of the article is entitled to their opinions about LGBTQ issues, and Medium should be a place where people can voice opinions that others might disagree with. But framing it in that way was a bad choice. They would have been better choosing a different title without the word "hate" in it. Perhaps something like, "Here Are Some Things I Disagree with the LGBTQ Community About". They can voice a different opinion without bringing hate into it.

But even so, Medium could have just removed the article and warned the author, rather than closing the publication.

Perhaps there is more to this than is currently evident?
