The joke was a bit out of line, but the physical assault was more out of line. Will could have just done the verbal part. He could have even gone up on stage and said right to Chris's face, "Hey man, don't make jokes about my wife's hair".

But to just straight up go and slap him is a step too far. And what example does that set to his children and any children watching it? That any time someone makes a joke you don't like, you hit them?
