STUPID BLOODY WASTE OF TIME

The Most Pointless Zoom Meeting I Ever Attended During the COVID-19 Lockdown

The dullest conversation I’ve ever tried to be part of. It was so boring it was actually painful.

Back during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, we were all stuck at home, unable to socialise in person. So, Zoom became a big thing.

Like a lot of people, I started taking part in various online groups:

  • Online improv sessions, both with my regular improv group and another group based elsewhere, were a lot of fun.
  • I ran a “Deep Thinkers” discussion group for a while and attended other interesting discussion groups.
  • I attended one group that involved expressing ourselves through movement, which was a new experience.
  • I also participated in Headless Way meetings a few times, which were…different.

It seemed easier than usual to take part in more group events. Dropping in on a Zoom call was less of a commitment than driving somewhere to meet up with people in person.
