Update on “3 Reasons God Cannot Possibly Exist”
Why did I restrict myself to the dictionary definition of God?
So, I wrote this:
Some people didn’t like it. One reason is that I restricted it to the dictionary definition of God.
I did that to avoid discussing a nearly infinite number of possible definitions for God. For example, this Redditor put together Jordan Peterson’s twelve definitions of God:
God is that in which you manifest necessary faith. Necessary because you have to start somewhere. And this necessary axiom is not a fact, but a way or mode of being, which is to say: a personality.
God is the mode of being you value the most as demonstrated or manifested in your presumption, perception and action.
God is expressed in the truthful speech that rectifies pathological hierarchies.
God confronts the Chaos of Being itself and generates Habitable Order (that’s the metaphysical proposition).
