What if Heaven is Only Full of Atheists?
Rewarded for not believing in something there’s no evidence for?
Years ago, on an episode of QI, I remember the topic of Pascal’s Wager came up. This states that it’s worth believing in God just in case he exists.
This is nonsense because, as Sean Lock points out, “He knows what you’re thinking.” So, if you’re only pretending to know, God will know you’re insincere in your belief.
But then David Mitchell came up with the idea that the afterlife might only contain atheists. I mean, just because it turns out there’s a God and an afterlife, that doesn’t mean the Bible is true. What if you only get into Heaven if you’re an atheist?
