Yes, being able to subscribe to lists would be great. They don't seem to have that feature yet, though.

I found that publications were most helpful near the beginning. When I first started, I had no choice but to self-publish, and I didn't get any views at first because I had no followers. When I started getting accepted into publications, I started getting views and followers.

But as time has gone on, it seems like publications haven't quite lived up to my expectations. Sometimes I've posted something to a big publication and got hardly any views. Other times I have published something else in the same publication and got lots of views. So the number of views seemed to have little to do with the publication. It seems to be more to do with the tags, title, image, and contents of the article.

My two highest earning articles for this month so far are both self-published. But I do have over 1k followers now, so that probably has a lot to do with it.
