Yes, I can imagine. I suppose this shows the difference between writing for print and web. I can only speak for myself and my own reading preferences, but I do wonder how many other people skip introductions and conclusions when reading.
I've noticed it with YouTube videos, too. For me, the best ones are the ones without long introductions. If I come across one where someone is waffling on for 5 minutes before they get to the actual content of the video, I either skip that bit or skip the video entirely.
But sometimes I do write longer introductions, especially if it's a humour piece.
Sometimes I voice opinions and then change my mind the next day. 🙂
