Yes, I see what you mean. Have you tried the Grammarly browser plugin? That's what I use.

I've also recently started using the Hemingway app, although that doesn't check for spelling and grammer, but for readability. My workflow is: I write and edit in LibreOffice Writer (with spellchecker turned OFF). Then once I'm happy with it, I copy and paste it into Hemingway and see what further improvements I can make. The final step is Grammarly via the browser plugin just before I submit it on Medium. But I don't automatically accept all Grammarly suggestions.
