How can I be sure you’ve washed your hands after doing a shit?

How often do you see someone leave a public toilet without washing their hands?

Handshaking has bothered me for years. We should get rid of it. It should become as unacceptable as pressing your buttocks against someone and farting.

Here are four reasons why handshaking should become a weird thing we can’t believe we all used to do.

Not everyone washes their hands when they should

A YouGov poll of over 24,000 Americans revealed that only 58% wash their hands after going to the toilet. That means 42% sometimes don’t.

Some of those people will shake hands with other people. And some of those people won’t have washed their hands either. That’s a lot of germs spreading around!

Phones are full of even more germs than toilets

Everyone’s on their phones all the time. That’s its own problem that I’ve written about previously. But for the moment, let’s focus on why that’s a problem for the spreading of germs.
